Palliative Care
Having the comfort of being able to pass away in their home with dignity and respect is everyone’s final wish. Orchard View Gardens offers our residents the choice to stay in your home surrounded by your loved ones while receiving end of life care and support from our registered staff for both you and your family. You will receive all the standard services plus the following:
- Up to once per hour check for pain and comfort management as required
- Assistance with re positioning to prevent skin breakdown and maintain comfort
- Hygiene care by Personal Support Worker (PSW) twice daily
- Communication and Coordination with resident’s Physician
- Coordination of referrals for palliative services
- Comforts to the family for accommodations as well as snacks
- Education of the process of death
- Love and support
